G-D' Word calls it an abomination, perversion;

Jimmy Carter on the other hand says the U.S. would be willing to elect a gay president “in the near future.”

Carter says, “I don’t know about the next election, but I think in the near future. Because step by step we have realized that this issue of homosexuality has the same adverse and progressive elements as when we dealt with the race issue 50 years ago." [Race Issue??]

"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them." Leviticus 20:13

"In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." Romans 1:27

America now sits complacently in the position once held by Sodom and Gomorrah.

"And don't forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God's judgment." Jude 1:7

With a stroke of his pen, Obama will end the Pentagon's 17-year, "don't-ask, don't tell" policy.

We have been told what to do - sadly it appears few are willing to do it?

"If my people, which are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." II Chronicles 7:14

What can wash away your sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

What can make you whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Nothing can my sin erase -
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

No good works can I preform
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

"When I see the blood, I will pass over you."—Exodus 12:13

GOD'S PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SAFE. "All the saints are in His hand;" and the hand of God is a place for safety, as well as a place of honour. Nothing can hurt the man who has made his refuge God. "Thou hast given commandment to save me," said David; and every believing child of God may say the same. Plague, famine, war, tempest,—all these have received commandment of God to save his people. Though the earth should rock beneath the feet of man, yet the Christian, may stand fast, and though the heavens should be rolled up, and the firmament should pass away like a scroll that is burned by fervent heat, yet need not a Christian fear; God's people shall be saved: if they cannot be saved under the heavens, they shall be saved in the heavens; if there be no safety for them in the time of trouble upon this solid earth, they shall be "caught up together with the Lord in the air, and so shall they be ever with the Lord," and ever safe.

Delivered on Sabbath Morning, December 12th, 1858, by the Reverend Charles H. Spurgeon

"Who are you to judge?" rings loud and clear within the halls of Christendom today. Voiced by Christians and non-Christians alike, people often believe the politically correct, liberal view that Christians are not to judge others and must, by any means possible be tolerant and acceptable of others beliefs. But this is NOT however what The Word of God instructs us to do.

"We should make judgments based on the yardstick of righteousness as revealed in His Word. Judgments which look beyond mere appearance, judgments made with the right spirit. When Jesus said "Judge not, that you be not judged" [Matthew 7:1] He immediately shows what kind of judgement he is speaking of there. He obviously cannot mean that we must never make any kind of judgement at all, otherwise we would not be able to fulfil the exhortations of the Word in numerous places, such as being told never to let anyone deceive us. If only God can judge, then how will we be able to fulfil the Apostle John's command:

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world"

1 John 4:1

The judgements which the LORD forbids refers to a person who makes a judgement about another person when he himself is a practitioner of the very thing which he is judging in the other! That is hypocritical judgement, which is forbidden by the LORD. But the kind of judgement which builds up God's people, advising them of danger and outright falsehood is an absolute necessity." [Alan Morrison. Is It Right For Christians To Judge?]

If we as Christans do not begin to judge and punish evil within The Body as well as within our nation, instead of accepting all ideas and beliefs as equal, we will become a nation that welcomes same-sex marriage, polygamy, pedophilia, incest, euthanasia, sharia law and a host of moral aberrations that only the mind of evil man can conceive.

Why should we be shocked by the revelation that Marcus Lamb has admitted having an affair? Why should we be shocked to see Benny Hinn and Paula White strolling hand in hand on the streets of Italy or hear that Ray Boltz is now practicing homosexuality. Should it shock us that Carlton Pearson pastors a homosexual church? Why should we be shocked when we have, as Jan Markell says, "drunk the Kool-Aid" they have been serving for years, blindly swallowing and following, allowing them to live in ivory towers, never holding them accountable to speak truth while we ourselves have neglected to:

"Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Timothy 2:15

The apostle John warned and exhorted Christians:

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." I John 4:1

When a pastor, preacher, televangelist, radio preachers, apostle or prophet places themselves above The Word of God, compromises on The Truth of the Word, thinks more highly of themselves than they ought - they are walking in sin. Compromise becomes easier and the voice of conscious less audible.

"For I say, through the grace given to me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith." Romans 12:3

Clearly, all Christians are called to judge righteously by using the Word of God as the plumb line for discerning truth from error.

There was a certain man, Simon, who had just become a believer, and after he had seen the gift of God that was given to the new believers he asked Peter and John if he could also have this gift of God by giving them money.

Peter answered Simon: "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God." Acts 8:20

The Bible is clear, believers are led by the Holy Spirit, yet many preach before millions via television and radio claiming to be led by angels or through their contact with the dead spirits of Kathryn Kuhlman or Aimee Semple McPherson. Claiming error as truth, twisting the Word to conform it to their perverted theology, these "anointed of God" fleece the sheep both financially and spiritually making false claims they are incapable of satisfying, and the sheep encourage them by their lack of knowledge of the Word and their enthusiastic participation.

What must happen before the blind regain their sight, the deaf begin to hear and the church rises and truly becomes The Bride of Christ?

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32

Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church in Houston, along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit, have initiated a series of sermons designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam. In addition to the sermons, the Sunday school lessons center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad.

Qurans were placed in the pews next to the Bibles and a new term has been coined for this effort of tolerance - CHRISLAM.

While "dialogue" with Muslims sounds like the "Christian" thing to do, it furthers the problem while legitimizing the teachings of Mohammad. But whenever this "dialogue" is looked into, one learns that on the part of the Christians, there is no sharing of the gospel, or for that matter, any kind of biblical truth. Both sides say nice things about each other. Some Christian pastors then bring that into their pulpit because they are deceived/fooled/snowed into thinking that Muslims really want to like us and work with Christians. They will willingly work with any Christian they can fool, and these days there is no shortage of those willing to compromise the gospel.

Thus, the birth of Chrislam.

The communists have a term for such people who knowingly cooperate with their agenda: Useful idiots - a term used for those who are fooled into thinking progress is being made by cooperating with the enemy.

Scripture is clear about uniting with unbelievers:

Do not be bound together with unbelievers, for what partnership has righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Should you come into your church this Sunday and find a Koran lying next to a Bible, flee as fast as you can. Your church has drunk the Kool-Aid and who knows what sorts of compromises will come next.

We CANNOT praise the teachings of Islam or recognize the religion as one of peace. We cannot go along to get along, tolerant false teachings and false teachers and call ourselves Christians.

[Special thanks to Jan Markell and Carly Matrisciana for their research and diligence to stand as watchmen on the wall].

"But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully." 2 Corinthians 11:2-3

We are living in difficult times - things are not always as they seem; especially within the Christian world. Many voices can be heard across the airways and in the pulpits. A few are speaking truth while others, the voice of deception rings loud and long. It is our responsibility as Christians to evaluate the character and conduct of others, including leaders within the church.

Discerning a distorted Jesus can be difficult at times but ask yourself a few simple questions:

1. Who is at the center of the ministry? Do they speak more about themselves than they do about Jesus?
2. Is the ministry marked by arrogance? It's ALL about "me".
3. Is the ministry stained with immorality? Is their sin in the camp?
4. Does the ministry show a love of money? Send me your seed and it will come back to you a thousand fold. [NO where in scripture is this taught].
5. Does the ministry attempt to manipulate the sheep?

The sheep are being fleeced due to a lack of knowledge due to laziness and gullibility. How will one be able to discern truth from error if the Word is never opened [study to show thyself approved] and one chooses to swallow and follow.

No Wonder our LORD calls us sheep.

"The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." James 5:16

Effective fervent prayers are desperate prayers spoken through tears of pain and suffering from a heart broken with the weight of circumstances beyond our ability to understand or control.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Learn His will, persist in prayer, pray in faith and pray in expectation.

"...ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea... James 1:6

and wait upon the LORD.

"They that wait for the LORD will gain new strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:31

Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved.

"....guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called 'knowledge' which some have professed and thus gone astray from the faith...

John MacArthur writes in The Truth War ~

'The gospel message is a clear, definitive, confident, authoritative proclamation that Jesus IS LORD, and that He gives eternal life, abundant life to all who will believe. We who truly know Christ and have received that gift of eternal life have also received a clear and definitive commission to deliver the gospel message boldly as His ambassadors.

But we are not merely ambassadors - we are soldiers, commissioned to wage war for the defense and dissemination of the truth.

We are ambassadors with a message of good news for people who walk in a land of darkness and dwell in the land of the shadow of death. And we are soldiers - charged with the pulling down of strongholds and casting down the lies and deception spawned by the forces of evil.

Our task as ambassadors is to bring good news - our mission as soldiers is to overthrow false ideas. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood and our duty as ambassadors does not permit us to compromise or align ourselves with any kind of human philosophies, religious deceit or falsehood. We are not called to wage war against people or to enter into diplomatic relations with anti-Christian ideas.

If these sound like difficult assignments - it is because they are.!.'

...Grace be with you." 2 Timothy 6:20-21

Pray said a small voice - PRAY.!.

The church thinks itself alive, but it is dead. Wake up church, wake up, strengthen what remains before it is too late. Get up church, get up, you are not finished - get busy, turn from your sin.

Pray for strength for the faithful, pray for encouragement, pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Pray for Wisdom, pray for revelation of truth to come to the church, pray for the spirit of pride and arrogance to be broken and pray for forgiveness.

"IF My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land."II Chronicles 7:14

Hold tightly to what you have - stand on the Promises of God - finish the race and PRAY.!.

When the world is hopeless with fear - you are to tell them that great is the anger of the LORD against this people. Calamity has come by their own hand, because they refused to obey their God.

"...and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their [He who sits on the throne and the Lamb] wrath has come, and who is able to stand?'" Revelation 6:16-17

"...and they repented not of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts" Revelation 9:21

"Peter said to them, 'Repent, and each of you be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit..."' Acts 2:38

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

When we spend more time in the world than we do in the Word, we are separated from God and capable of anything.

No man has truly repented until his sin has wounded him until the wound has broken him and defeated him and taken all the fight and self-assurance out of him and he sees himself as the one who nailed his Saviour on the tree.

We must be changed by the Word. We need to - read it through, write it down, pray it in, work it out, and pass it on.

Jehovah God is calling His body to come out and be ye separate. Out of compromise, out of deception, out of self-importance and greed, out of the world and back to the security and peace only found in Him.

IF you do not know the truth, you will believe the lie. IF you do not know the truth, you will believe anything.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things..." 2 Timothy 4:2-5

"We must tell people what we have learned. . . that no darkness can keep out God's marvelous light. They will believe us, because we've been here." - Betsie ten Boom (died in Nazi concentration camp)

"It is one of the greatest wonders in the world, how the church subsists under such fierce and frequent assaults as are made upon it by its enemies." - John Flavel

We live in a day when many Christian Right political leaders are telling people how to survive the difficult times that are coming. One recent evangelical presidential candidate, in a recent column, remarked that "we are on the precipice of some potentially catastrophic -- or at the very least, challenging --days." His practical solutions for preparation include "moving to a more rural location," stocking up on provisions, getting in shape physically, and preparing for self-defense with firearms. After many paragraphs describing various weapons, he concludes with a brief nod to faith:

"I strongly suggest that you seek to possess a personal relationship with God's only begotten Son."

If we could choose for ourselves, we would escape trials and tribulations. The glory and praise must be given to God, another difficult doctrine for those who want their ears tickled.

Flavel explains that: "Moreover, by exposing His people to grievous sufferings, G-D gives a fit opportunity to manifest the glory of His power in their support, and of His wisdom, in the marvellous ways of their escape and deliverance."

"Affliction is a furnace to separate the dross from the more pure and noble gold.

Multitudes of hypocrites, like flies in a hot summer, are generated by the church's prosperity; but winter weather kills them: Many gaudy professors [of the faith] grow within the enclosure of the church, like beautiful flowers in the field, where they stand during its peace and prosperity, in the pride and bravery of their gifts and professions; but the wind passeth over them, and they are gone, and their places shall know them no more."

The Truth:"

And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation." (2 Corinthians 1:7)

The world becomes a strange, mad, painful place, and life in it a disappointing and unpleasant business, for those who do not know about God. Disregard the study of God, and you sentence yourself to stumble and blunder through life blindfold, as it were, with no sense of direction and no understanding of what surrounds you. This way you can waste your life and lose your soul.

The church appears to be no different than the world. Our churches are filled with Christians who are idling in intellectual neutral. As Christians, their minds are going to waste. One result of this is an immature, superficial faith. The depth of so many church-goers' theology goes no further than a collection of Biblical sounding, pop-Christian slogans and catch-phrases.

Their theology is summed up in ~ "Let go and let God!', Do your best and God will do the rest', You need to expect to meet God when you...' and What Would Jesus Do?'... "

Too many are content to read devotionals of familiar passages of Scripture linked together with a few inspirational stories and jokes but have no time nor interest to read the Word of G-D with a hunger to know the truth.

It is uniquely American to want an easy way out, especially a way out that is not painful and requires no work. That American value has crept into our American Christianity. So we have these seminars to get it all taken care of in a weekend.

Want mental health? Get hands laid on you and you'll have mental health overnight. Want spirituality? Have a vision, get the baptism, or speak in tongues. Want your problems to disappear? Simply praise the Lord. Want to be rid of temptation and sin? Have the demon cast out? Want to be done with the aggravation of decision making? Let God speak to you.

Instead of being devoted to developing spiritual maturity and attaining Scriptural knowledge, we want the quick and easy fix. Instead of developing mastery and maturity, we seek magic and manipulation. Instead of learning our lessons, we want the Master sitting next to us during the tests of life whispering His answers into our ears. We anticipate an A in the exam of life not because we know the material, not because we've mastered the content and it has become a part of who and what we are, BUT because we deserve it.

There are no shortcuts, but there is a secret to long-term stability and genuine maturity. There is an antidote to the quick fix:

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to G-D. a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. But shun profane and vain babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness." 2 Timothy 2:15-16

"My son, if you receive my Words, and treasure My commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understand: yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasure; then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of G-D. For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding..." Proverbs 2:1-6
