ISRAELI ARAB PRIESTS TELLS UN HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL TO “END WITCH HUNT” OF ISRAEL:

Father Gabriel Naddaf, a Greek Orthodox priest from Israel, defended the Jewish state before the UN Human Rights Council, arguing that it is the only country in the Middle East where Christians are not persecuted, and implored the body to "end your witch hunt of the only free country in the region." Naddaf further said, "In the Middle East today, there is one country where Christianity is affectionately granted freedom of expression, freedom of worship and security. It is Israel, the Jewish state. Israel is the only place where Christians in the Middle East are safe." According to Naddaf, some 120,000 Christians have been killed each year in the Middle East for the last decade. "That means that every five minutes a Christian is killed because of his faith."  (Times of Israel)

From Jewish friends in Eretz Israel. -

Rosh Hashanah - the Jewish New Year also known as the Feast of Trumpets, begins in the evening of Wednesday, September 24 and ends in the evening of Friday, September 26. The first of the Biblical autumn festivals, Rosh Hashanah celebrates the birth of the world and humanity. Symbolic foods such as apples and honey are central to the holiday, symbolizing the sweetness, health, success and good deeds which we hope the coming year will bring. In the midst of the troubled Middle East, we will pause in Israel to thank G-d for His sovereign goodness to us and to others throughout the exiting year. May His blessing be showered upon all of you who love Israel.

NETANYAHU: ISRAEL FULLY SUPPORTS PRESIDENT OBAMA’S CALL FOR UNITED ACTION:

PM Benjamin Netanyahu told the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism on Sept. 11th: "I want to say a few words to the people of the United States. We remember that day thirteen years ago and we mourn with you on this day for the thousands who lost their lives in that horrific attack. All of Israel mourned on September 11th. In Gaza, they were dancing on the roofs. They were handing out candy. That's the moral divide. We mourn; they celebrate the death of thousands of innocents. And then when the US took out Bin Laden, speaking for virtually the entire country, I congratulated President Obama. In Gaza, Hamas condemned the US and called Bin Laden a holy warrior of Islam. That's the moral divide. We celebrate; they mourn the death of an arch-terrorist. Israel fully supports President Obama's call for united action against ISIS. All civilized countries should stand together in the fight against radical terrorism that sweeps across the Middle East, sweeps across the world. And we are playing our part in this continued effort. We have always viewed it as our common battle for our common future." (Prime Minister's Office)

Pray according to scripture regarding the advance of ISIS and Hamas: “Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord; do not let their plans succeed.” Ps 140: 8

It appears that BHO' strategy for fighting ISIS/IS/ISIL is to seek support and intelligence information from Israel.

Intelligence is something that seems to be seriously lacking in the oval office these days.

In an exclusive interview with Famiglia Cristiana, the 91-year-old former two-term prime minister of Israel, Shimon Peres, said he wanted to establish an international body representing the world's major religions, as a moral force able to intervene in conflicts. Peres said Pope Francis would be the best person to head such a world body because "perhaps for the first time in history, the Holy Father is a leader who's respected, not just by a lot of people, but also by different religions and their representatives."
"In fact, perhaps he is the only leader who is truly respected" in the world, said Peres.
"What we need is an unquestionable moral authority who says out loud, 'No. God doesn't want this and doesn't allow it,' ” he said.

A sad commentary considering the RCC holds "numerous holy sites" within Israel.  A sad commentary indeed.

From YNET NEWS: In a special interview with Die Tagespost, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Fouad Twal, named to represent the Vatican in the Jewish State, declared that “Israel’s existence as such has nothing to do with the Bible.” He then compared Christians’ condition in today’s Jerusalem with Jesus’ Passion: “We "Christians???" never forget that even our Lord himself suffered and was mocked in Jerusalem.”

Perhaps they should also never forget that Yeshua said:  "No man taketh it [My life] from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

“We "Christians???" cannot speak about the Promised Land for the Jewish people”, the synod’s document said. “There is no longer a chosen people. The concept of the promised land cannot be used as a base for the justification of the return of Jews to Israel and the displacement of Palestinians.”

The RCC is a lot of things, but 'Christian' it is not.
